Frederick Carpenter died from wounds on 29th May, 1915 after having been sent to a base hospital on the coastbut as yet there is no information as to where and on what date he was wounded. The 4th London battalion was part of the Ferozepore Brigade of the Lahore Division of the Indian Corps, that had been in France since March, 1915 and had seen action during the Battle of St Julien in April, 1915.
